Data Ethics & Acceptable Use

Sprich handles sensitive information: your résumé, your voice, your performance. This page explains, in plain terms, what we commit to, how we prevent misuse, and what we ask of you in return.

Our commitments

We are on your side of the table. Sprich is a practice tool for candidates. It makes no hiring decision, never ranks you for an employer, and never shares your results with anyone without your say-so.
Words, not faces. We assess what you say and how you say it. We do not do facial analysis, video scoring, or “personality” inference. Research shows these approaches to be biased and unreliable.
We don’t sell your data and never use it to train third-party AI models.
Explainable by design. Scores come from a transparent, published rubric grounded in recognised frameworks (the EU ESCO competency taxonomy and CEFR language levels), and each score is tied to your own words so you can see the reasoning.
Feedback, not a verdict. Reports are for practice and improvement. They are not a prediction of, or guarantee about, any real hiring outcome.
You stay in control. Export or delete your data at any time from your profile.

Where we sit under the EU AI Act

Systems that screen, rank or select candidates for employers are classified as high-risk. Sprich is deliberately built on the other side: it prepares the candidate and makes no employment decision, so it is not a high-risk recruitment system. We keep this boundary on purpose.

Acceptable use: what we ask of you

Use it to prepare for your own interviews.
Upload only data you have the right to use: your own résumé and details. Do not upload other people’s personal data or an employer’s confidential material.
No impersonation and no misrepresenting who you are.
No abuse of the system. No automated or bulk access, scraping, or attempts to break, overload or manipulate the interviewer or scoring.
Keep it lawful and respectful. No unlawful, harassing, hateful or harmful content.
We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.

Institutions & cohorts

When an institution (for example a university career service) uses Sprich with a group, that data is used only for that institution’s own programme. Individuals see their own detailed results; institutions see de-identified, aggregate readiness insights, not a named person’s transcript, unless the individual explicitly consents to share more.
